Bruce Markets has built an institutional-grade foundation for overnight U.S. trading — the proven infrastructure and a clear vision for the 24-hour ecosystem.
Our Mission:
Redefine After-Hours Trading
Overnight access to U.S. equities is no longer a novelty — it's a practical expectation of a shrinking world. But for years, after-hours trading has been constrained by fragmented liquidity, limited transparency and a lack of consistent guardrails. The result is a market that is in demand and growing fast — but still hasn't consistently felt built for serious participation.
Bruce Markets' mission is to bring the established standards of core-session trading to the overnight market: clear rules, resilient infrastructure and a venue designed to enable a more stable and transparent trading experience. Bruce ATS, our flagship overnight trading venue, was designed with the basics institutions rely on: predictability and an operating model built for compliance and operational rigor.
Just as importantly, Bruce Markets aims to raise the bar for the overnight ecosystem through healthy competition and thoughtful innovation — so brokers have more choices, the market becomes more resilient and execution quality improves over time.
Our investors bring high-quality liquidity to the overnight market and reinforce Bruce as a market-aligned solution.

Michael Lish
Chief Operating Officer
In his role as Chief Operating Officer at Bruce Markets LLC, Michael oversees the strategic execution, analytics and operational scale of the firm's ATS platform. A veteran of the proprietary trading industry, Michael specializes in engineering complex, highly regulated business logic, robust operational workflows and advanced data analytics from inception to enterprise scale.
Prior to joining Bruce Markets, Michael spent over two decades at PEAK6 Investments in a variety of leadership roles. Operating within PEAK6’s fast-paced, entrepreneurial ecosystem, he was a key leader in launching and scaling numerous internal business lines. As Director of Execution, he was directly responsible for market structure and execution, designing equity and option algorithms that have traded billions of dollars of capital. This deep technical expertise cemented his reputation for risk mitigation and maintaining absolute operational stability during high-stakes, catastrophic market events.
Throughout his career, Michael has leveraged operational analytics to optimize data integrity, P&L calculations and international trading infrastructure. Because he began his career as a systems analyst and developer, he brings a rare, deeply technical understanding of the proprietary platforms, quantitative data and third-party integrations required to drive true operational excellence. Driven by a passion for knowing exactly how systems work (and precisely how they can fail), Michael draws from his philosophy background to challenge underlying operational assumptions others frequently overlook.
Michael holds an MBA from the Boston University School of Management and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. He holds several industry registrations, including Series 7, 56, 63, 99 and 24.
